Marble tabernacle, 58 cm high.
The Madonna and Child with Two Angels is a refined marble relief created by Giovanni di Agostino.
The work is of fundamental historical and artistic importance as it is the only surviving signed work by the master Sienese sculptor and architect.
It is a 58 cm high marble Eucharistic tabernacle frieze with the inscription on the base: IHOS MAGIST(R)I AGOSTINI DE SEN(N)IS ME FECIT (Master Giovanni di Agostino of Siena created it for me).
