The church of Sant'Agostino is located on Prato Sant'Agostino. Construction of the church and the adjacent convent began in 1258 and lasted over fifty years, undergoing expansions and renovations over the centuries. The interior, renovated to a design by Luigi Vanvitelli from 1747 to 1755, preserves the imposing polychrome marble altars. The church preserves a rich artistic heritage. In the chapels on the left are the Baptism of Constantine by Francesco Vanni, the altarpiece with the Trinity and saints by Pietro Sorri, the funerary monument of Agostino Chigi created in 1631 by Tommaso Redi, the canvas by Rutilio Manetti with Saint Anthony tempted by the devil and in the presbytery the monumental ciborium in the shape of a small temple with the bas-relief of the risen Christ and the two adoring angels by Francesco, Giovanni Antonio and Giuseppe Mazzuoli. In the chapels on the right are two Sibyls frescoed by Luca Signorelli, the Birth of the Virgin and the Nativity by Francesco di Giorgio Martini and his workshop, the sepulchral monument of Orso d'Elci by Giovanni Antonio Mazzuoli, the altarpiece with the Way to Calvary and the Piccolomini altar, in polychrome marble, erected in 1596, which contains the painting on panel by Sodoma with the "Adoration of the Magi", and finally, the panel with the Crucifixion by Perugino.
